EPA Guidelines & Easy Checkout
Absolute Refrigerants — wholesale refrigerant from Scottsdale, Arizona. Last updated October 23, 2026.
Absolute Refrigerants is a refrigerant wholesaler. We sell factory-sealed refrigerant cylinders to contractors, suppliers, and buyers nationwide, and we follow U.S. EPA refrigerant sales-restriction rules so purchases stay on the right side of the law.
This page explains how that works at checkout on absoluterefrigerants.com — including the easy waiver option. You do not need to hold an EPA Section 608 or 609 card yourself to complete an order when you use the waiver path.
Quick summary
- We sell as a wholesale refrigerant supplier (not a repair shop).
- EPA rules restrict who may purchase certain refrigerants; we collect the right checkout documentation so sales stay compliant.
- At checkout you can either upload an EPA certification (Section 608 or 609 card / license copy) or e-sign our waiver confirming the product goes to a certified HVAC technician.
- The waiver path is for buyers who are handing the refrigerant off to (or re-selling to) someone who is EPA-certified for the install.
- Product you buy from us is sold legally through this process, and our refrigerant exceeds ARI-700 standards.
- Official EPA overview: Refrigerant sales restriction.
Why Absolute asks at checkout
Under EPA Section 608 sales-restriction rules, refrigerant wholesalers must take steps so sales go to people who may legally purchase refrigerant — typically certified technicians — or document that the product will be used / re-sold in a way that keeps the sale compliant.
Absolute Refrigerants does that at checkout, not by blocking the cart with a hard “must have a card” wall. That is intentional: many buyers are shops, homeowners arranging a tech, or distributors who need cylinders for certified installers. The page flow stays the same as before — verify certification or declare / waive that a certified tech is the end user — just spelled out more clearly.
We are a product seller. We do not perform leak repairs or on-site HVAC service. This page is about purchase documentation only.
Two easy checkout options
When you buy refrigerant from Absolute Refrigerants you will see both options:
1. Upload EPA certification
If you (or the technician installing the refrigerant) hold an EPA Section 608 or 609 certification, upload a copy of that card / license at checkout. That matches the classic documentation path many wholesalers use.
2. E-sign the waiver (no card required from you)
If you are buying so a certified HVAC technician will install the refrigerant — or you are re-selling / handing the product off to someone who is EPA-certified — you can e-sign the waiver at checkout. The waiver confirms that intent and that the product goes to a certified tech.
This is the modern form of the older “check the box that you will re-sell / provide to someone who is EPA certified” step. Same idea, clearer language: waiver available, so we do not tell customers that an EPA 608/609 card is required to buy from Absolute.
Either path lets us sell legally and lets you buy legally under the sales-restriction framework.

FAQ
Do I need an EPA 608 or 609 card to buy from Absolute Refrigerants?
No. You can upload a card if you have one, or e-sign the checkout waiver confirming the refrigerant goes to a certified HVAC technician.
What is the waiver?
An e-sign declaration at checkout that the product will be installed by (or re-sold / handed to) an EPA-certified technician. It replaces the older “resell to certified” checkbox wording with a clear legal waiver path.
Can I upload someone else’s certification?
Yes — you may provide a copy of the license of the technician who is installing the refrigerant, when that matches your checkout path.
Are you a repair company?
No. Absolute Refrigerants is a wholesale refrigerant supplier. We sell factory-sealed cylinders; we do not perform leak repairs or service calls.
Does your refrigerant meet purity standards?
Yes. When you buy from Absolute Refrigerants you have confidence you are purchasing through our compliant checkout process and that the refrigerant exceeds ARI-700 standards.
